How to Purchase and Configure Launch X431 ECU Flash Function?

Launch X431 has expanded the ECU Flash function for X431 PAD V LINK HD, PRO3 SE HD, PRO3 LINK HD (V+ SmartLink HD), PRO3S+ SmartLink HD, and other PRO3 series tablets to read and write heavy-duty truck ECUs. Some tools have added this function, but some tools need to buy the ECU Flash software in the Mall separately. Check the details below.

1. X-431 PAD V LINK HD

Already added in the configuration

2. X-431 PRO3 SE HD, X-431 PRO3 LINK HD, X-431 PRO3S+ SmartLink HD

Not in the configuration. ECU Flash software needs to be purchased in the Mall /Software Store/Commercial Vehicle

3. Other PRO3 series

They have been updated to X-431 HD APP, same as X-431 PRO3 SE HD

How to configure file to use ECU Flash function?

By default, the APP does not display the “Online Programming”, (ECU Flash) diagnostic software and the “Flash Data Management” function.

1. Modify configuration file

For PAD V LINK HD

Path: /storage/emulated/0/cnlaunch/X431PADV/assets/StdCfg.ini

For PRO3 SE HD/X431 PRO3 LINK HD/X431 PRO3S+ SmartLink HD

Path: /storage/emulated/0/cnlaunch/X431Pro3S/assets/StdCfg.ini

Modified parameters:

OnlineFlash=0；Flash=0；

Note:

1) Overseas configurations are all set to 0 by default. After users modify it to 1, they can use the online programming function.

2) If there is no OnlineFlash or Flash parameter, directly add “OnlineFlash=1; Flash=1;” at the end of the document

2. Online programming (ECU Flash) function will appear on the APP:

When user modify the parameter to “OnlineFlash=1；Flash=1；”

X-431 HD APP：

Shows “ECU Flash” diagnostic software under the traditional diagnose/Manufacturer menu

Shows “Flash Data Management” function in the “More”

X-431 APP：

Shows “ECU Flash” diagnostic software under the “Local Diagnosis/HD/ALL” menu

Shows “Flash Data Management” function in the “Toolbox”
